About The School

• Coonalpyn Kindergarten and Coonalpyn Primary School work in partnership to provide a
  comprehensive transition program for all learners - as they move from the Kindy to the School.
• A stepped program will be used during the term prior to the learner entering the school as a Reception.
• Decisions can be made in partnership with the Kindy Staff, School Staff , Learner and their Family to modify and adapt the program.
• While this policy is in place, we understand that individual student and family needs may require flexibility in the transition process.
• We acknowledge the rich and complex learning that occurs through the home environment and actively seek the sharing of prior learning.
• The Principal, Director and the Reception Teachers would welcome the opportunity to discuss the strengths and needs that your child has, and to share with you relevant school information. You will be invited to an informal meeting prior to your child’s first day of transition.
