April 11 - Gymnastics and Cheerleading Clinic

By Byron (Rec) and Tiffany (Yr 2)
On Wednesday, we did gymnastics. We did some jumping off of big blocks and on a trampoline. We did a forwards roll on a wedge. We also did an egg roll and a log roll. We did some things too with hoops and balls. After that, we did cheerleading. In cheerleading, we used pom-poms and did a cheer. We were learning some steps. We really liked it. Pom-Poms with music was our favourite. It got faster and faster.

Byron shows us how to jump properly

March 9 - Giddy Goanna Visit

On Friday 9th March, students in years R-2 travelled to Tintinara Area School to see the travelling Giddy Goanna Show.

This musical show especially for students included Road Safety, Bike Safety, Sun Safety, Fire Safety and Water Safety tips presented in a fun way. Students were encouraged to Stop, Think and Do when in an emergency situation.

We then joined the Tintinara students for recess in their playground.
Thank you to the parents who transported the students to make this interaction possible. We hope you also enjoyed the show!

March 7 - Coonalpyn 'Tour Down Under'

On Wednesday 7th March Class 1 had a great day of bikes and trains.
We decorated our bikes and helmets, and heard road safety tips from Constable Stan Lowcock. We were joined by members of the Coorong Cruisers road bike club who showed us their precious bikes and accompanied us on a short ride to the train line.

While we were there, the Overland passenger train to Melbourne came through and gave us a huge toot of the horn and a wave from the driver.
We would like to thank Stan, Pastor Terry and other members of the Coorong Cruisers who gave their time to help us enjoy the day.
