Kid's Council

• Kids Council is our school's student representative, leadership and consultative body.
• The council is currently made up of 7 students who represent each class and age group.
• There are both male and female students involved in this democratically elected group.
• Leadership of this council consists of a President, Vice President/Treasurer and Secretary.
• These positions are elected from within the council once it is formed.
• The council meets once every 3 weeks or otherwise more frequently as required.
• Correspondence can be addressed either to the school, secretary of Kids Council or President.
• Kids Council elections occur twice per year, with a change over mid-year.
• Previously elected students may be re-elected.
• Kids Council make suggestions regarding school improvements, plan fundraising events, work to improve student facilities and learning opportunities, discuss relevant news and topics, share information with their fellow students at class meetings and assemblies and take part in decision making.
• Most recently, Kids Council played an important and substantial role in choosing and designing their new school under-cover playground.
